Snoe is me!
I bought these mittens for snow camping and for insurance against future Polar Vortexes and Snowmaggedons. They are extremely durable, well thought out, and executed. I used just the liners, recently, to hack a parking space out of a mountain of ice on a Manhattan street. Marmot 8000m mittens
Pittards amortan leather palm and inside of thumb. Gore plus warm technology, insulated, waterproof, windproof, breathable. Primaloft insulation in exterior gore-tex mittens, carabiner loop. Yellow (short to the wrist) 700 down mitten inserts inside longer blue gore-text mitten. Made in China. These are warm, definitely made for cold weather. The wrist and forearm adjustments are difficult to make while wearing the mittens, but that is to be expected.
Pros:
- warm
Cons:
- Price
Best Used for:
- cold

Great for extremely cold weather
Great mitt for a cold weather glove system. The awesome part about the mitts is the insulated Gore-Tex shell and the removable liner. This makes the mitt very versatile in cold conditions. If you need extra warmth quickly, simply put the insulated shell on over your climbing gloves for fast protection from the cold. When things get really cold use the down liner.
Pros:
- Modular design
Cons:
- Hard to tighten wrist strap with mittens on
Best Used for:
- MOUNTAINEERING
- snowmobiling
- use in the Arctic
Would recommend: Yes
Super warm
XS fit my wife's tiny hands. They are very warm need to be be sub 20 degrees or its to much. But being able to use the inner liner as a regular pair gloves is also pretty convenient. Quality is on par with other marmot products.
