I Love This Jacket!
I have worn this jacket in single digit weather with just a light baselayer on sitting around camp after ice climbing. I also stuff it in my pack as a belay jacket on longer colder alpine climbs. It's fairly durable as I am hard on gear, but like most down clothing I get the occasional feather poking thru.

incredible loft, but too short for me
I was looking for a very warm down jacket that was also highly compressible. This is almost perfect, but the only problem is it has the length of a normal jacket, rather than a "parka" length of a few inches longer. Not only does this mean when I raise my arms my belly button is exposed, but since it is so puffy, the jacket looks quite square and stout. If this jacket were may 4 inches longer, it would be absolutely perfect. Oh well, the search continues...

Purchased last year at end of season to save a buck. Getting great use this year - my dog and I walk on average 4 times a day, about a mile at a time. I live in Wyoming, and so far lots of snow and cold... This jacket is amazingly warm!

If you need a serious cold weather mountain jacket this one does it. No fancy stuff to appeal to to fashion just straight forward to class kit for those who actually need and use it. Warm enough for emergency bivvy in alpine or for winter mountains. From North BC/Alaska border

good coat but
have had this coat before (8 years and still works).
This new one seems a bit lite on the down and a bit shorter in the back. Still a good warm coat and i would buy it again - sales price is better tho.

Good jacket
I like the bottle pocket - great for winter camping after you have boiled water and filled a 1 liter before putting it in your sleeping bag. The hood works well and helped block wind on exposed summits. My only wish is that it was a little puffier, but it is what it is.

Amazing Jacket
The jacket from Marmot is amazing!! Super light-weight but extremely warm. Also has a really great shaped hood. My only negative comment would be about shipping- it was shipped in a plastic envelope vs a box so the envelope came to my door half-ripped.

Lives up to the Expectations
I have been looking for a jacket that will REALLY keep me WARM. This Marmot "Baffled" Greeneland jacket is the one that will for sure live up to that expectation. I wear my regular long sleeve shirt, no underlayer of any kind on my upper body, and put on this Marmot "Baffled" Greeneland jacket, and I remain warm staying outside doing whatever I have to do.
