I have only worn this in the dry weather we've had since purchasing the jacket, so can't judge its waterproof feature. So this review is only about other attributes. The fit is trim and true to size. I'm 5 ft 6 in and 130 lbs and the medium fits well, although not as roomy across the shoulders as some other Marmot jackets. Sleeve and overall length good. Falls right about mid hip. The apple color is a fun, strong, orangey-red with just a hint of pink. The fabrics is light, smooth, soft to the touch. The jacket is fully lined and feels good against the skin, and is slightly warmer than a single layer rain shell. The medium can be layered over a regular shirt and a light weight insulating layer, but not anything heavier than that. The hood has only one adjustment but basically works. This is not a technical jacket by any means, and probably would not hold up in the long run for backpacking and other hard use. But for general purpose wear (walking, running, commuting, biking, errands, around town...) it's a good looking, nice fitting jacket. But, I can't judge how good it is in the rain. And the price was excellent for the very high quality construction.
