Most Helpful Positive Review Very Good, only 1 big problem...
Have had this product for already 6 month.... 200 km or more of backpacking using this model and everything was good... durable, practical, grey color is nice option because dirt is less visible.... size was almost the one... everything fitted but 1.5 cm large in the waist.... dries really quick... 3-5 minutes max.... only problem is that if there is even 1 little thorn it can rip the pants... only damage i got in full year.... everything other is good.... zips hold well.... recommend it definately...

Very comfortable and convenient

The overall design of these pants is very comfortable and convenient to wear, and the price is not expensive! If there are discounts for other colors, we will consider buying them again! Hope to have some discounts and promotions! Thank you!

Look and fit great.

by Bernd, Verified Owner from CA, United States Written on June 20, 2020
These look like very nice pants. They seems durable and the material is very comfortable. I haven't put them through any abuse yet, though all pockets, zippers, seams and buttons seem of high quality.

Several different kinds of pockets. (2 front, 2 back, 1 side, and one small sort of side back pocket, looks handy for a flashlight, knife or similar item)
Pros:
  • Lightweight
  • durable
  • Good fit
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • Camping
  • HIKING

Great material, average fit.

The material is really where these pants do stand out of the crowd, in my opinion anyway. Very comfortable on contact with the skin, breath extremely well and have an amazing water shedding capability. The last part must be some sort of black magic. That's how well it works. Not sure if it will last after the first or repeated wash cycles though. The fit is very casual. That can be a good or not such a good thing, depending whom you ask. I personally would prefer a fit little more on the athletic side. Hence one star down.
Best Used for:
  • summer hiking

Excellent material. For me however the fit wasn't right.

Pants are stretchy enough, stylish, and convertible, all while be ultralight. For me though (6'0, 175 lbs) I just could find a size that worked for me. 32 waist was too tight in the crotch/inseam too short, and 34's were too big around the waist. An improvement would be to make the waist have some stretch in them or some adjusters.

Nice pants, but too baggy/large legs for me

by MIchiganTraveler53, Verified Owner from MI, United States Written on April 16, 2019
The features and fabric of these Marmot convertible pants is very nice. The pockets, waist size and waist band were all excellent. But, for me the size 34 S pants were way to baggy/large in the legs. Almost like a "boot cut" where they have large stove-pipe bottoms. I am 5'8", 155 lbs. I much prefer the fit of similar pants from Prana and Craghoppers. Returned for an exchange.
Pros:
  • fabric
  • technical features
Cons:
  • fits a little baggy

Lightweight and comfortable

by GraveyTrain, from NY, United States Written on June 4, 2018
These pants are very lightweight and make a terrific travel pant. They fit a little bit snug, I normally wear a 33" waist, and the 34" that I ordered are a little tight, but not too tight to be uncomfortable. The cargo pocket has more bulge to it than it looks like in the photo. Otherwise, these are extremely nice pants!
Pros:
  • Lightweight
  • confortable
Cons:
  • cargo pocket
Best Used for:
  • HIKING
  • travel

Best Hiking/ Casual Pant

by Jonathon F., Verified Owner from FL, United States Written on March 16, 2018
Very versatile and comfortable. True to fit. I was happy to find out that the gusset is perforated with small holes and is made of a stretchier polyester fabric for extra movement and breathability. Wish the back pockets were fastens down with a button instead of Velcro, but that’s a personal preference.

Good item. Plan to test it hiking during the summer.

Just what I wanted this past summer. Everywhere was too expensive. Along came Campsaver with this great deal. Can’t wait until the Spring. They are lightweight, which is what you need on a long hike. Bottoms come off, so it becomes shorts for hot weather.
Pros:
  • Very lightweight
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • HIKING
