Bought these for my first backpacking trip. I have yet to use them but I think they will work. They are on the heavy side of shoes but with weight comes durability and I am excited to see how these hold up. I think this is a good shoe for most beginners like myself that cannot stand hiking in boots, but these seem to be almost like a boot in terms of the structure of the shoe if that makes sense.
Pros:
- Comfortable out of the box
- seem very durable
- Good beginner shoe
Cons:
- on the heavy side but not a problem unless you want a light shoe.
Best Used for:
- General hiking
- Short backpacking trips
