Came apart after 2 weeks
I really wanted to like these trail shoes, they seemed to tick all the boxes but I was left very disappointed. I bought them for a hiking trip around Alaska, I planned to use them on wet and rough terrain but didn't even get a chance to do this as the side of the shoe started to give way after only 2 weeks.
I had only been walking on normal trails and it hadn't even rained once yet the side came away completely allowing water to get inside. Merrell offered me a discount on some more trail shoes but I think I'd rather walk barefoot than buy Merrell again. I've learnt my lesson.

So far, so good
Just received timely shipment from Campsaver and shoes feel excellent out of the box. Still breaking in, so no trail time yet, but the fit is excellent for my somewhat (but not overly) narrow foot. I usually wear 10.5 or 11; purchased an 11.5 for trail work, and could not have gone any smaller.
If trail works out fine, the review will go to 5 stars.

Comfortable fit, but sweaty feet
These shoes are comfortable to wear, and seem well made. My only criticism is that the material is fairly thick and my feet get sweaty. I haven't tried them on a serious hike, but moisture could mean blisters. We'll see.

Perfect Shoe for me
I needed a waterproof pair of light hiking shoes to replace a very old pair of Merrell's for dog walking on messy days. These fit the bill perfectly. I'm tough to fit because I have flat, narrow feet. These work very well for me, even without orthotics. They get my full endorsement!

good shoes but are a little on the tight side
good shoes but are a little on the tight side. i loosened the laces, especially at the front of the shoe and that loosened them up to an acceptable level (widened the shoe), but the non goretex version of this shoe fits and feels better on my feet. i wouldn't buy this shoe again without trying them on first. too bad, usually Merrell's with my size fit perfectly, this is the first time i've experienced this problem. whatever...

Comfortable light weight hikers
Excellent for day hikes. Very comfortable and can wear them around the house or to work in a casual office

A Classic
This is a classic. I have had a few pairs of these over many years and have always loved them. If I was to choose one shoe that I could do everything with, this would be it!!
