Metolius bravo carabiner

by Climber girl, Verified Owner from PA, United States Written on May 29, 2021
These carabiners are Awesome, lightweight and exactly what I needed. Great for anchor building. The finish is matte and looks great on my harness. I bought these carabiners because weight is an important factor to me. I’ve used them for setting up top rope anchors. They are on the smaller side so if you are building an anchor from runners or slings they are perfect. I recommend something larger if you are using a static line.
Pros:
  • Lightweight
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • climbing

Light weight but sturdy

As strong as the Metolius Element along the major axis (24kN), but lighter in weight. However, the Metolius Element has more metal (therefore greater diameter by 2.5 mm), giving a smoother and broader contact surface for rope.

They work great for zip lining or speed lining limbs when combined with a loop runner.
