Really cool idea!
Easy to use & lightweight!
I would recommend this for finding your way around a tent, but the light would probably not be bright enough to read by.

Saves weight and provides good light
My wife and I use this product as a tent light for backpacking. It is very light and provides enough light for normal chores in the tent like changing clothes and the like, but not enough for reading. As one would expect from an ultralight gadget like this, it feels a bit flimsy, and we do have to be a bit careful packing it. The lantern doesn't have a hanger, but we make-do by clipping a mini-car

Nice Little Lamp Shade
Like all things Mont Bell this little lamp shade is a well-thoughtout, no unnecessary frills product. It weighs nothing, packs down to nothing (so small you could lose it in your pack), and disperses light nicely so your tent is filled with soft, white light throughout.
The only downside is that it is really too small to fit a larger headlamp, so just be sure to check the dimensions of your head
