Best Jacket
The best design in this category.
Two high position hand pockets, wired hood with multiple adjustments, fine fabric with slim cut and it is only weight 16*g for a M size. Compare to Squamish and Houdini, this jacket provides you more features with reasonable price

Great fit and very lightweight!
I'm typically a size S and this fits perfect in terms of sleeve and torso length. Weighs like a feather. Not sure if the wire in the hood can withstand repeated deformation when stuffing the jacket into the provided sack though.

Montane Lite-Speed flaws
Have had this jacket for two years but haven't used it much. If you wear anything under it with any sort of collar or hood the zipper wont go all the way up. Also its not very breathable; must have a heavy duty DWR treatment.

Love this jacket. Bought it for hiking, but wear it all the time.
Very light, comfortable and extremely windproof. Looks good too. Packs up nice and small. Great buy.

Trim fit
Loved the material, but this is Montane's Active Mountain fit. It was simply too tight a fit in the chest. Not for men with stocky builds. With reluctance I had to return it.

Perfect for my needs
I keep this jacket in my backpack for day and multi-day hikes. It is perfect for a light rain and/or windy conditions. I also use it for runs on days below 40 degrees. I have owned it a little less than a year and after at least 40-60 wears, it still looks brand new. I have since purchased other Montane products.

As Advertised!
Fit - I am 5'10 145lbs and the small is an atheletic fit. Room to layer a baselayer and light fleece layer underneath with some restriction in the chest/shoulder area. The medium was too large, but would actually be perfect if you're my size and want to layer underneath it for winter activities.
Performance - I have only used it for running in 50 degree weather with a light weight baselayer unde

A great addition to your gear
I researched extensively for a windshirt prior to a trip to New Zealand and came across the Lite Speed as something that I could use whilst tramping (hiking, backpacking) in New Zealand. I found it to be particularly useful above the treeline on the Kepler walk and MT Aspiring National Park, keeping the cool wind at bay, being very breathable, keeping me comfortable whilst wearing a heavy backpac
