The Punk Balaclava works very well compared to the competition.
The pertex ear coverings are genius. I took it to a mountain top last week on a morning when the wind chill was around -60F (-15F with 50mph winds), and my ears were the warmest part of my head. I had minimal fogging while wearing goggles with it, even when sheltered from wind.
The reason it doesn't get 5 stars is that there aren't enough or large enough breathing holes. I know it has to protect your face, but during the more strenuous sections of my climb, air didn't come through it as fast as I needed it to, so I had to pause and uncover my mouth a couple times so I could catch my breath. I plan to get a punch out and pop a larger few holes in the mask right in front of my mouth, which should hopefully solve this.
Would recommend: Yes
