Most Helpful Positive Review Tara pants
love theses pants, I am 6'5" and the tall size fit, just. Very light and flexible.
Most Helpful Negative Review Run very small
As stated in other review the Long inseam is at best Regular. Also, the most disappointing part about these pants (and short) by Montane are that waist sizes run very small. When you order 31-33 you get what feels to be 29-30. I would recommend different brand if you have long legs and I also recomm...

This is my second Montane Terra pants - they are durable, functional and very light. I recommend them for the warm season. On height 182 cm and weight 75 kg, the pants in size M fit me perfectly.
Among the advantages I can note convenient pockets, ventilation and durable fabric.
Pros:
  • functioinality, comfortable
  • Durable and lightweight
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • hiking, backpacking

Really wanted love them.... butt...

by agunslinger, Verified Owner from OH, United States Written on January 7, 2023
Great pants over all. But what the picture doesnt show, at least for me, is all the extra (and unenecary) fabric at the butt and down to lower hamstings. I have a reasonale butt, not flat, not absent, and all the extra fabric back there was a bit much for me. All other fitting was great. Wierd esign choice. Your mileage may vary of ourse.
Pros:
  • QUALITY
Cons:
  • None

  • Re-enforced knee and butt material, vent zips on legs, zip pockets, light weight & comfortable
Cons:
  • None

Great 3 season hiking pants

by AlpeMoney, Verified Owner from NY, United States Written on October 2, 2018
Was looking for a summer/3 season synthetic material pants with reinforced abrasion points for alpine hiking to replace an older pair of Prana pants that started to tear.
The material is nice - soft and surprisingly thin but appears to be sturdy. I am 186cm tall / 83kg and got a large size that fits well and allows to wear an under layer and also works with Marmot Goretex pants over.
Pros:
  • None
Cons:
  • thin for chilly weather
Best Used for:
  • HIKING
Would recommend: Yes

Perfect for sweaty winter hiker like me

by NH MT Guy, Verified Owner from ME, United States Written on December 11, 2017
I run hot when climbing and these pants are perfect because I can unzip to let heat out and zip when I'm resting. Material is light, yet strong. If I need warmth I layer underneath, the pants themselves are not insulators. Montane lives up to it's reputation with these.

Great Summer Pants

by DefinetlyNotVince, from AK, United States Written on September 1, 2017
Everything you need in a Summer pant and then some. I live in Alaska and these are great for early Summer. Would not wear in Fall. Also order a size up unless you're incredibly skinny. These feel incredibly soft on skin and dry really fast. Wouldnt hesitate to take these backcountry hunting for alpine deer and goats in the beginning of the Summer. Sheep- yes depending on predicted weather. If its going to be too foul then no. But nice and sunny then yes. Enjoy.
Pros:
  • Comfy
  • durable
  • side vents
Cons:
  • Runs small
Best Used for:
  • HIKING
  • hunting
Would recommend: Yes

Terra pants

by arthur l., from WA, United States Written on June 28, 2017
My go to pants for spring, summer and fall. Lightweight with a loose fit and more robust material in the places that need it. long wide opening upper mesh leg vents for hotter days. This is my second pair. First pair still going strong. Just fancied a different colour option.
