Most Helpful Negative Review What was Mountain Hardwear thinking?
I'll keep this short. Jacket itself is well made and provides decent insulation for low aerobic activities--walking the dog, etc. down to about 40 degrees. The HUGE problem is the cuffs. They provide no sealing whatsoever, so any wind is magnified. There is some wimpy elastic around the cuffs, but it will not snug around one's wrist. By comparison, the similar Patagonia down sweater in the same size has cuffs which are 3-4" smaller in circumference than the M-H jacket. The Patagonia grips at the wrist and blocks the wind, while the M-H cuffs are more like a men's sport jacket, letting the wind...

Down feather coat

It works well. I bought it for my husband I think he likes it. His old one is worn out, hope he likes this one. If you write a review you get a coupon. I order the black coat so not to show stain. We have not had it very long so hope it works out well. Looks well made don’t notice feather escaping the fabric.

misleading advertising

Jacket looks as pictured, but as for warmth its useless if under 40 degrees. Can be used for sring and fall but certainly not winter.
