Most Helpful Positive Review Will not zip together with women's Rook 15F
Absolutely great product! if you are looking a for a entry level down sleeping bag that isn to rough on the wallet this is the bag for you. The only downside of this bag it does not offer zip together capability to the women's counter part due the zippers being located on the same side

Mountain Hardwear Rook 15F (25F comfort / 15F limit)

by B, from VA, United States Written on February 6, 2022
The Mountain Hardwear Rook 15F bag isn't a superlight mountaineering or backpacking bag, but that wasn't their design intent. It is an occasional backpacking / car camping bag which is reasonably well made. It has 21 oz of 650 fill duck down with a #5 YKK anti-snag zipper and a 25F comfort / 15F limit rating. Nothing fancy for the shell as it is DWR coated nylon, as is the lining. This 15F bag has an internal draft collar around the neck area of the bag, but it does not have a drawcord like some of the more technical bags, and an internal down filled draft tube along the length of the zipper. It also has a down filled face gasket which can be closed by a pull cord. No pockets on the bag but does include both a storage sack and a compression sack. It has good coverage on the hood and isn't as form fitting in the body as a lot of the more technical mummy bags. The one I received was a 2019 model which, appearance wise, was a throwback to that of the late 1990's early 2000's Mountain Hardwear technical bags, but made to be a good middle of the road down filled bag to meet the design intent at a good price point. Overall, I have no complaints with the build quality or materials used in the bag construction for general camping use.

Great sleeping bag

I have not used it on a camping/backpacking trip yet, but I tried sleeping in it inside my house, and it was very comfortable. The sleeping bag is very lightweight, and I love the compression sack that comes with it. My wife has the female Rook and although the lengths are different, it's still comfortable to sleep in when coupled. Just a reminder, if you plan on coupling two sleeping bags, they should be from the same line of sleeping bags for best results and you need one LH and one RH zipper to make it work
