Great stove for cold weather =^.^=
This is a great stove when temperatures plummet below 25F....works flawlessly, even down to about 18F. I've read other reviewers' complaints regrading dragonfly's "jet engine like noise". Yes, it is loud...but so what? I have no problem with its roar whatsoever. It stated that dragonfly can boil water in about 3.5 minutes....but my boil time for 1 liter (in backyard) was well over that(even w

Dragon fly stove
I have owned and used a dragon fly stove for over 25 years . For camp cooking, for pre heating my aircraft engine at ridiculously cold temperatures. I rely on it and it has never let me down. If you need a fail safe heat source for whatever reason I can wholeheartedly recommend this one .

Powerful for its weight
This stove is American Made, powerful and heats up fast, like a fighter- jet engine! It was a little difficult to set up the first time but will be fine as I become familiar with it. The pump bottle attachment does not need an additional O-ring, as it adapts to its brand MSR bottle. A Sigg bottle will also work in a pinch, but is not recommended. Be careful of overtightening the fittings. Considering the rubber and plastic parts are new, you have to be gentle with it as it breaks-in. The supports are great for a pot or pan up to 10", perfect for frying a Brookie, or boiling coffee water and heating your outdoor meal. The wind screen and heat shield are good to have with it. Make sure you have lots of space to cook in, no overhanging branches, pine needles or tall grass!
Pros:
- Lightweight, hot
Cons:
- Steps required to set up & fire
Best Used for:
- Backpacking
- Backpacking (multi-day)

Can't wait to try my stove
According to the picture a fuel bottle comes with the stove. It doesn't. I missed on product page at bottom of items included. Bottle sold separately. Had to order one. It would have been nice if when ordering it would remind you or ask you if you already have the bottle. Picture of stove should grey out the bottle and say fuel bottle required. According to YouTube reviews and other users they like it. I purchased stove because of wide base for larger pots. I dont intend to backpack with it. I will use for car camping and backup cooking and water purification.

Classic fuel stove
The MSR dragon fly is a classic multi fuel stove made by MSR. High quality , simple design made it very reliable. The double valve is easy to control the flame. But you have to know that the multi fuel stove is totally different from gas stove, it need some patience and experience.
Pros:
- High quality , simple design very reliable.
Cons:
- Expensive
- need some patience and experience.
Best Used for:
- expedition, trekking,

Pros:
- Adjustability, simmering
Cons:
- Loud
Best Used for:
- Group adventures

Nice.....but LOUD!
It's a great stove, with great flame control. However, it is very loud unless you install a QuietStove burner (model 107) on it. Then it becomes a pleasure to use. That combo costs more than a Whisperlite, but the Dragonfly is a more robust stove for heavy use with bigger pots (for a family of 4).

Awesome Stove
The stove is just a workhorse. I know people who have used these stoves for 10 years with minimal maintenance. I do have a couple of complaints however. Since this stove's debut there have been numerous lighter and more efficient stoves released. I wanted this stove for great temperature control and stability cooking for a crowd. This is still probably the best in those categories. But it is heavi

I would purchase this stove again..
I use the stove to cook with and boil water along with melt snow for drinking water..
There is nothing i don't like about the stove.
I think MSR knocked themselves out with this fine equipment marvel .
I'm impressed as it pre heats for couple minutes and then it runs for any purpose i want from idle or to boil water , and cook my food.

Good stove design by MSR
Another excellent stove from MSR. Lightweight, simmers well, but pot stability is not good. I would still recommend the Omnifuel. But still it's a great stove considering it was designed long before the Omnifuel and the first liquid gas stove that simmers.
