Reviews & Ratings for MSR Fury 2 Tent - 2 Person, 4 Season
— 3 reviews — Page 1
I agree with the other viewer that it was a challenge to setup THE FIRST TIME. That's why I set it up first in my yard a couple of times after it arrived and figured out how to do it. now, it's fairly easy for me to setup while mountaineering and I have done so many times in under 5 minutes.
I have only used the tent 1 time for an overnight trip. The test is easy to set up via the pole clips. Sleeves might be marginally stronger, but they are a pain to thread/unthread poles in/out of. The Fury is roomy for two people and feels very secure if you guy it out. A 4 season tent is a bit overkill for summer camping, but having the extra security of wind and rain protection is important

This tent almost killed my partner and I. We were ascending Long's Peak in February and hiked through the night to the Boulderfield. It was -13 and we needed to make camp. We struggled for 1.5 hours to get the tent set up. It is VERY finnicky and difficult to pitch in the best of circumstances. Otherwise a great tent, if one lives long enough to set it up.
