I own several stoves, from 2 simple alcohol stoves, a tiny ti canister stove, to a primus omnifuel.

The MSR windpro II hits a nice sweetspot. Canisters, in general, over a three day hike are lighter than alcohol. the Wind pro weighs approx., 3 oz more then the lightest canister stove, but it is a remote canister stove that can run in "liquid" mode which makes it outperform in cold weather.
