Product Info for MSR WindPro II Stove 6636

The WindPro II camp stove combines the stability and wind protection of a remote-burner design with the convenience of canister fuel. Unlike other canister stoves the WindPro II is capable of running on liquid-feed direct from the canister. This added versatility lets you run the stove in traditional upright mode for optimal efficiency and flame control or, with a simple twist, invert the canister on the included stand to deliver liquid gas directly to the burner. This advantage allows greatly improved cold-weather and low-fuel performance, and boosts stove output significantly anytime speed really counts.

Features of MSR WindPro II Stove:

  • Inverted Liquid-Feed: Increased cold-weather and low-fuel performance with more consistent output across all fuel levels.
  • Efficient: Remote burner allows the use of a windscreen for maximum efficiency.
  • Lightweight & Compact: Weighs just 6.6 oz.; fits in a one-liter pot.
  • Versatile: Supports pots up to 10" maximum diameter; compatible with bake ovens.

This stove is a great minimalist stove because of it's light weight and folding ability. It is fail-safe which is critical in extreme situations when other stoves require cleaning and repair. It's also safer than many stoves for use inside a tent because of the compressed gas canisters. Good control and plenty of heat. Great product.

I own several stoves, from 2 simple alcohol stoves, a tiny ti canister stove, to a primus omnifuel. The MSR windpro II hits a nice sweetspot. Canisters, in general, over a three day hike are lighter than alcohol. the Wind pro weighs approx., 3 oz more then the lightest canister stove, but it is a remote canister stove that can run in "liquid" mode which makes it outperform in ...

This stove is reasonably light weight. It seems that the package weight is very big. But I never take the plastic bag, the canister support and the bottom reflector on the trial, will save much weight. I have been using this stoves for more than one year / more than 20 trekking days. Even in the high altitude or cold weather, this Wind Pro II works really good. Boil water qu...

Questions & Answers for MSR WindPro II Stove
Q So two parts here: 1. Is the IsoPro fuel actually a propane/propane blend? 2. Is the valve attachment compatible with "ordinary"/non MSR propane cylinders? (think propane torch cyls)
A

The fule is usually a propane/ butane mix. This stove attachment is compatible with all canisters that have a Lindal Valve on them (Jetboil, Snowpeak, MSR, and Coleman all sell canisters that will work with this stove).
