Totally great bag i love MR products so much. Very durable and lots of space cant wait to use it this year for hunting. On a side note it arrived in a very beaten up water damaged box. The box was barely being held together at all and seemed like it was about to crumble. Very odd and not super thrilled about it but the pack itself was vacuum wrapped and completely undamaged so no harm done.
Pros:
- Snug fit
- Very spacious
- many ways to adjust for perfect fit
- Do it all hunting/backpacking pack
Cons:
- Not really for day trips
- might be a little big for certain people
Best Used for:
- hunting, backpacking, expedition

Haven't really used it yet except for carrying a seven gallon jug of water around the yard with it. 65 lbs (including pack) was still heavy but seemed a little more manageable than my Badlands pack. The torso adjustability really allows it to fit really well.

Sitting on the sturdy Guide Light Frame, you can load it from the top via the shroud access, get to all your gear from the side through the full-length side zip and store a sleeping bag in the bottom Speedzip. After a long stalk and a clean shot, the OVERLOAD feature of these Mystery Ranch Backpacking Packs allows you to push the weight limits of what's humanly possible on a pack out. Expedition hunts feel like second nature when you carry the MARSHALL.

By far the most well built and tough backpack I’ve owned. Quality in all details, not a single defect. Very pricey but I expect it to outlast my backpacking days. For the price it should come with a couple pouches on the belt on top of the one in the main compartment that is included, which I ordered anyway, but the backpack itself is a beast. Minor thing, but more molle attachment points, especially on the lid, would make it even better.

Awesome pack! Enough volume to hold all my mountain-elk hunting essentials ... Easy access to all compartments ... And the extension features are good for hunt pack-outs ... The materials are sturdy and well put together ... Great craftsmanship ... Excellent value!

I am not using this pack for hunting, I am using it for backpacking. I wanted something heavy duty, strong and durable that is both big enough and flexible enough to carry varying size loads. It could be 2 days or 10 days.
it is not a pretty blue or orange and I love it. It was a little tricky to get it adjusted correctly because I am used to traditional backpacks and this is not traditional. It is a work-horse. It can carry 40lbs UP TO ???lbs when properly adjusted. (I TRIED TO CARRY 65lbs ---- IT HANDLED IT COMFORTABLY-----BUT I DIDN'T. MY LEGS AREN'T WHAT THEY USED TO BE)
My biggest gripe with other backpacks is the adjusting systems loosening up while hiking. This one never loosened on me and I mean never! I did make adjustments to shift weight from shoulders to hips and such but once set, they were set. The sleeping bag compartment is big enough for a two person bag and other items. The way it opens is perfect.
Look, I could go on and on but as I said before, its a work horse. Might take a little getting used to. I will never go back to "traditional" backpacks.
Enjoy
Pros:
- Large
- Compartments well thought out
- Can carry light and heavy loads comfortably
- Buckles and straps high quality and strong
- Material is high quality
- Zippers are second to none.
Cons:
- Takes some getting used to
- Pricey but worth every dollar
