Most Helpful Positive Review Search for camp pillow is over
Just got the Fillo luxury pillow and plan to use it on kayak camping trips. For years, I've been searching for a good camp pillow. I'm a side sleeper, so most pillows just don't have bulk needed to get my head up. So a stuff sack of clothes was the best option. Until now. This pillow is perfect. First, the air pillow can adjust to just the softness you prefer. Next, the micro fleece fabric feels great on your skin. But the best thing for me is the webbing on the bottom allows me to use a sweater or coat to bulk it up to the perfect size. It makes no noise, and is so comfortable. It st...

Cozy Base Camp Pillow

by Reiner Gal, Verified Owner from WA, United States Written on July 20, 2022
Got this pillow for base camp. It is unbelievably comfortable! Air plus some foam gives it a really plush feel. I like the long narrow shape. And the back has a place to stuff my jacket which is super handy. The cover is washable, but a bit of a thing to get on and off. So I'm just using a buff around it for ease of keeping it fresh and clean. These are hard to find. So glad I was able to get one at Campsaver.
Pros:
  • Comfortable
  • compact
  • soft
Cons:
  • NONE
Best Used for:
  • Car Camping
  • BASE CAMP

Great backpacking pillow. Packs very small and only weighs 12 oz. Quick and easy to inflate and deflate. Very comfortable and easy to pack and unpack. Also, the bungee can be used to increase height of pillow or to store gear.
Pros:
  • Packs smaller than other pillows
Cons:
  • None

This pillow is very comfortable and easy to use. The only slight draw back is getting it back in the stuff sack. The size is really nice. I use this for in my hammock and for airplane travel. Would I buy it again or recommend it, YES.
Pros:
  • size & comfort
Cons:
  • Stuff sack could be little more substantial
Best Used for:
  • Hammocking
  • Airplane travel

Epic pillow!

by Cushy Cranium, Verified Owner from CA, United States Written on May 29, 2020
Have always used a stuffy sack filled with clothes when backpacking, but decided it’s time to try something a little more luxury. This pillow feels incredible, and almost like a pillow I’d use daily off the trail! Packs down to the side of a Nalgene waterbottle.

High quality; great features. Very comfy

by AdamM, from TX, United States Written on January 11, 2018
Just opened and tried out this pillow. Much more comfortable than your typical air-only pillow. Stuffs a bit larger than an air-only - conversely; however, I am impressed and surprised at how much it does: I’d estimate 1/8th of its fully expanded size! Need to long term test for durability- but very impressed so far.
Pros:
  • COMFORT
  • Quality,
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • Back packing

Very comfortable pillow that offers

by Leila S., Verified Owner from CA, United States Written on August 14, 2017
Very comfortable pillow that offers good support at a low weight. Love the fact that it has a pouch for both storage of the pillow and to increase size of pillow by stuffing it with clothes.

Best comprimise

by smokykoko, Verified Owner from PA, United States Written on June 18, 2016
Taking my pillow from home is comfy but kind of cumbersome. I tried some other camp pillows but couldn't find the right mix. This one is pretty good, inflates easy and lets you add to the bottom with a towel or clothes to make it even higher while the soft top doesn't make it feel like your head is on a balloon.

Fillo luxury pillow

Light enough for backpacking, much better than sleeping on folded clothes that fall apart during the night

Not bad

by Kevin M., Verified Owner from TX, United States Written on January 22, 2016
I bought the luxury version mainly because Nemo discontinued the previous regular version that still had the shock cord on the back. I tend to sleep with my head elevated a little more than a typical camp pillow can provide. I have tried adding clothes, etc. but they invariably slip out from underneath whatever pillow I was using. I really wanted the regular version, but didn't run across it until it was too late.

This luxury version is nice, and you can strap a vest or something similar to the bottom to increase the height, which works well. It is a noisy pillow without something on the back due to the integrated stuff sack.

It does not collapse quite as well as I would like, and is definitely bigger than the regular one. Overall I slept fairly well when using it, and it inflates/deflates with ease. Not sure how much I will like it in spring/summer though, as I have a tendency to flip my pillows to get cool, which you cannot do with this one and still remain comfortable.

I may still try something like the Aeros pillow if I can get to the point of not needing the extra height. Still, it takes up less space than my Thermarest compressible pillow, and is ready to go in no time at all, whereas the Thermarest needs to loft back up for an hour or so.
