I came from a ultralight backpacking mentality, so my first thought was getting my wife the same ultralight setup I have and we run super light. I realized in the few first camping trips that she runs a lot colder than I do and is miserable even in the warmest sleeping bags by herself. So, we compromised and bought this and the Cosmo 50L insulated pad. Results: both of us being extremely happy. This setup is marginally more weight than both of us having ultralight setups, but it is way warmer for her. It is also ridiculously big and feels like a luxury after running a ultralight setup. We have slept to freezing and probably below a couple times. Highly recommend, super comfy and well designed.
