Oboz Firebrand II Low B-DRY Hiking Shoes - Women's
This is the 4th pair of Oboz that I have owned. 1 not water proof & the other 3 were water proof. I were them until they are grungy looking & then I irrigate in them. I love the support these shoes have. I have really high arches & need the support. The foot DR was impressed too!
The only thing I can fault these shoes with is, they are dangerous on wet tile floors & ice. You will fall before you can catch yourself! I am 63 & pretty sure footed, but have not been able to catch myself.

I love these shoes! They are very comfortable right out of the box, no rubbing, no break-in period. I have worn this brand for several years and they remain consistent and reliable. Will definitely visit again for my next pair.

I think I found a winner! Haven’t had the opportunity to put them to the full hiking test, but have worn them around the house, up and down stairs multiple times, just to see if they require initial breaking in. They seem to fit just fine with no issues as yet - will put them to good use on a hike in a couple of days - so will update then, if necessary. They are really comfy - last pair of hikers (a notable brand) was the reason behind me researching and discovering the Oboz brand, having caused strain in my achilles. Haven’t found that to be the case with Oboz Firebrand. Also, this model is a very attractive shoe- much gratitude to the keen Oboz designers - not an easy task to create a reliable, well featured shoe for the outdoors and good looks, too
Pros:
waterproof
Superior In sole
Supportive midsole (fellow Plantar Fasciitis sufferers know the critical importance of this feature)
A cool/flexible/supportive/creative outsole that can give Vibram a run for its money

These shoes are snug with a stiff sole, which I like for hiking over rocky and rough terrain. My feet hurt far less after a long day of hiking in these. They keep my feet dry when walking through water & crossing small creeks. The grip of the sole ethe best feature. No sliding on rocks, even wet ones. They're great for a steep climb through leaves. Highly recommend
