Most Helpful Positive Review Very efficient
I did a head-to head test boiling water in the HE, a flat-bottom titanium pot and a flat-bottom aluminum pot, all with the same amount of water, on the same stove - I actually repeated the test on 3 different stoves to see if the burner shape made a difference. The HE ALWAYS boiled faster by at least 30 seconds than the others, so it saves fuel. Adequate size. Substitute your own fleece bag for the mesh bag to keep contents warm after heating.

Versatile pot set - canister, alcohol, Svea 123 stoves all work!

by va3pinner, from VA, United States Written on November 3, 2019
I bought this originally because the Svea 123 fits perfectly inside. Exactly what I was looking for, this is true for the Optimus Terra Weekend HE, but not the smaller version (don't know if they still make that one).
But I also had an optimus Crux canister stove (I'm kind of a stove nut), and a ClickStand stove (uses Trangia burner) All of them work well with this pot set.
With the canister stove and the accessory Optimus wind screen, it's a very fast boiler. Also quick with the Svea 123, but you have to be careful about how the pot sits on that stove. It's not the most stable setup. Youtube has several videos on this combination.
Oddly, this thing fits perfectly with the Clickstand setup, and boil times are much faster than the usual for an alcohol stove. A very stable setup as the pot doesn't sit on the Click stand pot supports, but the heat exchanger rests on the Trangia burner. Works very well that way.
Capacity - I hike solo, and this is plenty big enough for a sizeable meal. Haven't used the lid as a frying pan (as advertised) but do use it for coffee/tea water while cooking dinner.
Some would consider it heavy - just shy of 10 ounces, but I find it so useful, it's my go-to pot set. Only drawback is it has a non stick coating that scratches easily.
Pros:
  • shortened boil times
  • works with svea 123 for winter use
Cons:
  • non stick coating scratches easily
  • a tad heavy for some - 9.5 oz.
Best Used for:
  • Backpacking (multiple days)

Great Terra

What sets this pot apart from the rest is the "HE" designator which stands for Heat Exchanger. Let me tell you that this thing is a money saver and will make you carry less fuel then you would have to otherwise. I tested it with the following stoves - Optimus Crux, Primus Express and Snow Peak Litemax and was consistently was able to boil 2 cups of tap water in 1 minute and 45 seconds. All the while burning 6-8 gramms of fuel depending on the stove( not surpisingly, Optimus Crux works the best with this pot). What it means is that you can have 3 Mountain House meals a day, for 10 days, with one 220g gas canister.

Very nice...

This pot/pan is beautifully anodized- smooth to the touch. The pan is on the small side for any real frying, but it comes in handy for coffee or to heat up spaghetti sauce or similar food items. The finned heat exchanger on the bottom works well- boil times are reduced (for two cups of water) by about 1 1/2 minutes. It may not sound like much, but those minutes add up, and fuel is conserved. I bought this product specifically to nest my Svea 123 stove into. It's not a snug fit, but I stuff the stove into a Crown Royal whiskey sack to alleviate any rattling or scratching. There are measurements in ounces as well as milliliters. It also has a small pour spout and insulated handles in "Zombie (puke) Green" for the win. Finally, it's very affordable. Well done, Optimus.

I use this pot to boil water and some light cooking.
Pot is durable and I like the handles.
the only bad thing is the weight. It is a little heavy.
I like the size and how I can store a stove and fuel inside it!

Great Package

What it loses in weight it makes up for in size. I am a big eater and like a cookpot that is capable of holding some food. This one does that well!
