I did a head-to head test boiling water in the HE, a flat-bottom titanium pot and a flat-bottom aluminum pot, all with the same amount of water, on the same stove - I actually repeated the test on 3 different stoves to see if the burner shape made a difference. The HE ALWAYS boiled faster by at least 30 seconds than the others, so it saves fuel. Adequate size. Substitute your o...

This pot/pan is beautifully anodized- smooth to the touch. The pan is on the small side for any real frying, but it comes in handy for coffee or to heat up spaghetti sauce or similar food items. The finned heat exchanger on the bottom works well- boil times are reduced (for two cups of water) by about 1 1/2 minutes. It may not sound like much, but those minutes add up, and fuel...

I bought this originally because the Svea 123 fits perfectly inside. Exactly what I was looking for, this is true for the Optimus Terra Weekend HE, but not the smaller version (don't know if they still make that one). What sets this pot apart from the rest is the "HE" designator which stands for Heat Exchanger. Let me tell you that this thing is a money saver and will make you carry less fuel then you would have to otherwise. I tested it with the following stoves - Optimus Crux, Primus Express and Snow Peak Litemax and was consistently was able to boil 2 cups of tap water in 1 minute and 45 ...

Questions & Answers for Optimus Terra Weekend HE Cook Set .95L
Q Hi, I am wondering if this pot is compatible with the Snow Peak Gigapower stove? I figure the stove should be able to pack inside it ok with a gas canister but will the heat exchanger work with the wire type support on the stove?
A
Expert Answer

Pot diameter should not be a problem as far as support goes, and although the heat exchanger might work more efficiently with another stove it is certainly compatible here. The stove itself will pack down pretty small, so it should nest inside just fine.
