Most Helpful Positive Review Liked it so much, bought one for my daughter...
Took this pack on a 125 mile trek through Philmont and it did fantastic. Never a problem with sore shoulders or back due to the comfort of this pack. Wish my feet had held up as well. The only glitch was the velcro on the hip belt wanted to come loose when I tried to cinch it down. Had to hold it in place while tightening the belt. Not sure if they've fixed this on newer models or not. Otherwise overall this is a great pack and deserved Backpacker's award.

No one builds a quality pack like Osprey

by ser, Verified Owner from DE, United States Written on December 8, 2021
This pack is absolutely awesome! Lightweight, comfortable and holds all of my backpacking gear perfectly. I am built small and the frame of this pack is structured so that the weight sits on my hips and not on my neck and shoulders. A lot of backpack makers claim this but Osprey is the only pack I have ever used that actually pulls this off. The pack is adjustable enough that most anyone could wear.

Technically savvy with numerous features

by ser, Verified Owner from DE, United States Written on June 8, 2021
In preparation for my section hike on the AT I wanted to find the right fit backoaxk. After trying 3 others I wasn't fully satisfied with I decided to try Osprey. I was blown away by how much technology was put into the pack. You can see the details on their web as well as in the other reviews. I am beyond pleased. My only heads up is the picture looks to lean on the teal side. It's nowhere near teal but a true medium cool blue.

Fit Doesn't Match Sizing Chart

by ALS, Verified Owner from ID, United States Written on June 1, 2021
Taking off a star because I ordered the pack according to the sizing chart provided, and it's a bit too short for my torso. Came back to try the larger size and they're all gone. I can't find this particular backpack anywhere else. So I either return it and start over with searching for the right pack or stick with one a bit too small.

Great pack with lots of compartments. Overall size feels smaller than 65L without loosing space

Fits great, wonderful weight distribution. Got size M, I am 5'7", weigh 140lbs with a very long torso and athletic build. Color is nice and won't show up dirt as much. Easy to adjust and hip pockets are convenient.

Most of my friend use this bag for Backpacking, Everything is great, durable, nice looking, weight distribution is ideal, perfect back ... but lets not forget some disappointments: No RAINCOVER.... you pay a lot for a pack .. how it cant be included.... Problematic hipbelts Pockets.. cant zip the pocket with 1 hand... otherwise perfect pack...
Pros:
  • durable
  • adjustable
  • Ideal
Cons:
  • Too heavy
  • No Rain Cover
  • Zipper on the pockets

A little heavy but good

by 57, from VA, United States Written on July 14, 2019
I have used an Osprey Aura 50Lpack for years and have enjoyed good service with it but.... after 5 years and a lot of sweat I decided to try the Aura AG 65L. I took it on a 22ml 2 night trip and it felt good. The padding at the waist/hips and shoulders kept it from causing sore hip and shoulder bones. I removed the top pouch (to cut down on pack weight) and still had plenty of room for all my gear(with a little rearranging)- I love being able to put my sleeping bag and pad in the bottom pocket. I would give it five stars but I think Osprey went a little crazy with adding so many lashing points with plastic cinch pieces(added weight with ? benefit- to me at least). I hope I have many years of good use from this pack
Pros:
  • size and pockets
Cons:
  • Weight
Best Used for:
  • Backpacking

Being a petite women, it is great to have sizes that will fit my small frame. Plus, the suspension is innovative and comfortable! Did I mention it was comfortable?
