Most Helpful Positive Review A good day pack, some small quibbles
I had high hopes for the Kestrel 32, given its rave reviews online. Mostly, I was satisfied by the design. I especially liked the front loading, which for some reason is not present in the bigger Kestrel packs (why???). The integrated rain shell is a plus, although I haven't had to test it yet. I like the fact that the compression straps have opposable buckles, so you can use them to fasten your snowshoes or sleeping pad to the back of the pack. Also, the hip strap pockets are very handy. Another Osprey win!

This is my new day hike pack and overnight pack. Perfect padding, perfect fit, simple design. I am 6'2" 185lbs 33" waist and the medium/large fit perfect. This pack is light enough for fast ultra light overnights and stable enough that I can trail run in it. My only wish is that they would make the same pack in a 55-65L size because it is all that I would need for a multi day backpack if it had more capacity.

This pack is everything I was hoping for. I love the integrated rain over which came in handy when caught in a rain storm on one of New Yorks High Peaks yesterday. Ospreys are worth every penny.

Osprey makes the most comfortable backpacks, and this is no exception. Really like it, and it is just the right size between my small and expedition sized Osprey. A great week or weekender!
