No more sweaty back!!
First off, I really hate getting swamp back like with my old backpack. The ventilation with this pack is so much better!!! Also, I can carry a heavier load (20-25lbs) without any back pain (Osprey has online tutorials about how to pack, adjust, and put on your pack - it's more technical than you think, so check it out). I wouldn't suggest buying this right before a backpacking trip as it does take some time to break in. When it's still stiff, it tends to ride up. The lumbar support is very comfortable
I have lower back issues due to arthritis. I am able to fill this backpack and the lumbar support takes the weight off my lower back so I can carry it and not feel like my back is compressing. I have not used the hydration pack but I do use a straw bottle steel insulated bottle and carry it in one of the side holders and it stays secure.

Great comfortable pack.. just the right size for the Camino de Santiago.. the quality is good the fit comfortable and the functionality great . Osprey products are always a winner!!! The price was reasonable
