This hat seems to be made very well. I like that the chin strap can be untied and removed very easily. Then when I want to use the chin strap I just tie each end to the small loops on each side of the hat.

I Tip My Hat to Outdoor Research

The Outdoor Research Helios Sun Hat is basically a PERFECT hat for backpacking. I simply do not hit the trail without it, Spring, Summer & Fall. I have used this hat in temperatures around 100 degrees Fahrenheit and been caught in moderate rain fall on a mountain side. This hat covers it all! It keeps the sun and the rain off me.
