Reviews & Ratings for Patagonia Hi-Loft Down Hoody - Mens
— 11 reviews — Page 1
At 5'10" and 140 lbs, the small size is a little too roomy on me, but I can live with it. The jacket is quite warm and was probably overkill for my trip with temps in the 20's (F). It packs down to the size of a small bread loaf, but it's kind of a pain to stuff it into the inner pocket. A stuff sack would be much easier. The hood, like many patagonia hoods, has an annoying behavior that exposes the sides of your face when you use the cinch cord. It seems like something they do across the product lines, but I find it quite annoying. If I had to pay retail price, I'd probably consider a competi...

Owned many Patagonia items over the last 20 years. This one is tops. Nice upgrade from the down sweater models. Longer cut in the back, new finish on the cuffs. Perfectly warm for cold temps with negligible weight. Get it while you can.

This jacket is very warm and comfortable. Fit is perfect I’m 5 7” 145lbs and I went with an xs for a slim fit look and it fits really good even have enough room for an extra layer if I need to. Love the jacket! Camp Saver got the best prices ! And shipping was super fast.

The Patagonia Hi-Loft jacket is a decent jacket and it's meant for cold weather, even below freezing temperatures. This jacket will keep you warm in temps down to 0F, but I'm not sure I'd test it on any colder weather. The Hi-Loft is a bit misleading: It's thinner than its photo displays (and the ocean blue is a lot brighter), but it still functions as intended. The hood is a bit large for the jacket although Patagonia probably intended for it to be used with hats. As for sizing, I'm 5'10" and have a 43" chest, and the size larges sleeves run slightly big, as does the jacket length. Otherwise, I'd definitely recommend the Patagonia Hi-Loft for non-Arctic winter conditions.

I love this hoody because of its versatility. I am always cold - and I can wear this from high 60s down to 30s with only a long sleeve and some gloves underneath. Blocks the wind amazingly and serves as a great layer under a shell for skiing. I am a 5'8 145 female and I purchased a size medium because this particular one was on sale - which was a good size for me but I could have got a small if my hips weren't so wide (I could not even zip up a small). As it is now, it's a bit more boxy in the shoulders (not the jacket's fault) but it's not too big and a few washes got rid of the worst of the stiffness. I would honestly pay full price for this hoody - that is how good it is.

Not too hot, not too light. Whether it's walking through a snow storm or riding the train to work -- this jacket keeps me perfectly comfortable. I wouldn't hesitate to recommended this item.

The Hi-Loft Down Hoody was a nice purchase and arrived just in time for this weeks winter blast. It is very warm and cuts the wind well. I plan to get good use out of it in the next weeks here in the New York.
