Great Insulated Ski Jacket
I had a Mountain Hardware jacket and the hood was problematic, so i finally splurged and found a great deal on this jacket. While it's not my favorite color, it's not bad, and the jacket itself is one of the best ski jackets i have ever tried on. Finally got out a few times this season with it and have been almost completely happy. My only problem with it is that i am not a vest guy and the jacket is sort of a super-deluxe vest. The sleeves are lighter than the rest of the jacket and i noticed during the record-breaking cold snap we had here out east that up above the tree-line on the chair-lift, my arms were getting a little chilly, while the rest of my body and head for completely warm.
The jacket itself is a great fit for me, extra small ; 5'3" 125 lbs, and fit a ski helmet perfectly. Jacket was room enough to enable comfortable downhill skiing without feeling any restrictions.
One of my favorite parts is the many different pockets to hold gloves on breaks, a couple power bars for eating on the go, and a few other misc items like a tissue, some thing to wipe my goggles, a great cellphone pocket. Still not 100% sure how to use the sleeve pocket and the other side pocket seems a little small for a water bottle, but i prefer a backpack anyway.
All in all a great insulated jacket.

Runs large but good if you plan to layer.
Overall I’m a bit disappointed in this product from Patagonia. I have many of their products but this seems to be missing some key items.
1. Fit is very big on this item. Again good if you plan to layer I guess this is ok but I generally wear a ski jacket and base layer. So this leaves a lot of room. I can’t really comment on the warmth of this. As I wore it for 3 days of skiing when temps were mid 30’s up to mid 40’s. So it was open most of the time.
2. Zippers have a very fine tooth to them! They are the waterproof ones which is nice but it’s very hard to open the pit zips because the zipper does not slide smoothly. I could not open them with gloves on at all. All zippers have very short pulls on them too so I’ll have to add longer ones from paracord.
So those are the 2 major issues I have with the jacket. I just wish they had thought through the details of the jacket a little more. When you are spending $400+ on something you expect it to be great all the way around. I hope Patagonia fixes these issues in the next version.

Patagonia Powder Bowl Jacket Stood Up to Sub-Zero Temps
I bought this ski jacket for my son before heading to Vermont last weekend. The temperatures were the coldest in the Northeast in 20 years and the Patagonia Powder Bowl Jacket passed the test and kept my son warm.

Nice jacket
Love the jacket, have yet to wear it on the mountain but fits well not to big. Got a medium and I am 5'9 165. Paid extra for standard shipping got on the 5th day a little disappointed as I probably should have just done the free shipping and probably would have received within the same time frame.

Patagonia Insulated Powder Bowl Jacket
I purchased this jacket because it was both insulated and waterproof. It runs a little bit big, but I found it to be very warm and it keeps the rainy Northwest weather off of me.
