Nice jacket but why so much fleece?

The fleece part makes up almost half the arms. Also two 6-inch strips from armpits to the bottom, and a 4 inch strip all the way around the bottom. The fleece will surely decrease the warmth and wind blocking ability of the jacket. I will be sticking with a real nano puff jacket for cold breezy conditions.

This jacket has a great fit... I wore one backcountry skiing last year and liked how it worked with the uphill to downhill routine, so I bought it. This is one of those Patagonia items that I size up in, so a large is a better fit for me than a medium (I usually wear medium in Patagonia, except for some items). Am 5'7" and around 160 lbs, and somehow I still appear lean - must be rocks in my head.

This could be my favorite top!!!

When I first received this jacket, I thought it was too thin and wouldn't keep me warm. I have been surprised at the performance of this jacket. Very lightweight, nice snug fit but keeps me warm without the bulk. I haven't needed to use a shell yet. I love this jacket.
