Great Jacket!
This version has differential baffles, which help the fit over the previous style. Also, this yellow color is slightly translucent-which is cool, but some may not like being able to see a bit of the feathers. The hood is a bonus, pockets are functional. Can't comment too much on the actual size, as ...

Meh
I'm 5'8" and muscular, not fat. The med was too tight in the hips, too big and poof in the stomach area, noisy material, expensive and really hard to fit in the stuff pocket. Returned. I'm going to stick with my mtn hardware ghost whisperer (also tight in the hips but lighter and better overall).

this was a great ultralight jacket
I felt this jacket was a stand alone system due to then length.
I wanted this jacket to be a layer underneath my shell, but the length was more of a pea coat so I went another route.
I do worry about the warmth of the down once wet, but never got to test it out.

It's a keeper
Not my preference for color but I wasn't buying for fashion... the price was right so I bought it. The size XL fit is good with room for layering, 6-1 / 220. I bought this sight unseen, having never tried one on in a store prior to purchase. I read the reviews and most were positive. I could turn the air conditioner down real low and give it a test drive but I prefer to do that on the trail... I expect it will do all it was designed to do.
Pros:
- Price
- Down
- Packable

Exceedingly Functional, Lightweight and Aesthetic Piece of Gear!
This coat is very light and easily stowed while at the same time possesses the ability to keep you warm in severe weather conditions. My choice is a beautiful deep blue easily seen from a distance. Because the coat is relatively thin for such a garment possessing warmth to the degree it does, it is very useful for layering, Or in less severe conditions, it is certainly able to preserve body heat used by itself. The quality is unquestionable and the value quotient is high. I am grateful to CampSaver for making available a piece of gear incorporating such a unique set of positive and useful qualities as is seen here. Many brands make extravagant claims but Patagonia delivers consistently, I have found!

Excellent for a Mt Shastina hike in May 2017
Recommend the one with the hoody, as it makes a world of a difference in keeping you warm. I used this as my third layer as I run a bit cold. When the sun isnt out I had the hoody on and didn't feel hot or cold - just perfect. When the sun was out, I could regulate myself with taking the hoody off and unzipping a bit. Awesome light weight jacket - highly recommend!
