Extremely user friendly for sport climbing especially with my 9.4 and 9.8 mm ropes. Still have to pay close attention especially with smaller, newer ropes as the locking mechanism is delayed without hand pressure/restraint on feeding side of rope, even on this device. Enjoy the hand fit and ease of use similar to original grigri. Light weight is great. Smaller size does cause it to bind in som
