RAB has outdone themselves with a true BEAST of a warm, comfy, cozy, totally desirable heavy-piled fleece jacket. Bar none! Reviewers have slighted the slick lining on the inside front face of the jacket but it is stated in the description to expect this so what's the issue?! No surpises there. Is it warm? Undoubtedly. Is it thick? Ummm.... way YES! Does the hand of the material please the senses? Undoubtedly.... which is probably what those reviewers wish was also lining the inside. Can't blame them on that point. The material is so soft and comfy even I would like to feel it on the inside to but that does not take away from the fact that this thing is the unrivaled beast of plush, thick warmth among all fleece jackets!! ALL fleece jackets, period. Of note, your normal size will likely be too large! Respectfully speaking, if you pack extra pounds and girth, no issue. But... if you're of a more athletic build/body type, it WILL be to big to order in your normal size UNLESS you intend to layer heavily UNDERNEATH this thing. And, it's not a shell, has no REAL wind protection, so sizing down in order to layer under qualified windshells would be a better choice. This is EXACTLY what I was looking for, being a very heavy/insulating fleece layering jacket which, as stand alone, is sharp and comfy all on its own. I will counter any naysayer; RAB NAILED IT with this jacket! Worth EVERY penny.

If you live somewhere where it is consistently cold and you lounge around more than you move around get this jacket right now.
This is an epic casual cabin chiller jacket. When you get off the slopes and get home, throw is bad boy on and drink some hot coco and you are about as close to being a bear in hibernation as a human can get.

This jacket has an awesome look, the double pile fleece makes people just want to touch you because you look so warm and cuddly.
The collar on this is one of my absolute favorite things. I don't know why so many outdoor companies get this point wrong, but Rab nailed it with this fleece. The collar has a nice snug fit where it hugs your neck in warm goodness. I find most other fleeces have a loose, wide collar with no way to adjust it. What is the point in a wide collar that provides minimal insulation when not in close contact with your skin? I'll never figure that one out.
The collar sits nice and high getting right to your jaw line and it stops perfectly.

These jacket is not very wind proof, I know they say it has an inner liner that is suppose to be, but make no mistake wind cuts through this pretty easily. Even if it didn't the fact that the liner is on the inside means that the wind would steal all the thermal heat you stored in the nice double pile and sweep it away leaving you with not much warmth. Put a nice softshell/windbreaker over this and you will be absolutely toasty, try to do much more than some brisk walking and you will ...
