I have been using this bag for years. I replaced a cheaper coated one when the coating pealed. This one does not use a coating. The barrier prevents insensitive perspiration from dampening the down. I bought the new one for my wife since every time we went camping, she used the bag. It's expensive, but it will last forever.
Pros:
  • Light weight. Prevents insensative perspiration from dampening the down.
Cons:
  • Expensive but worth it
Best Used for:
  • cold camping and an emergency bivy selter.
