I have been using this bag for years. I replaced a cheaper coated one when the coating pealed. This one does not use a coating. The barrier prevents insensitive perspiration from dampening the down. I bought the new one for my wife since every time we went camping, she used the bag. It's expensive, but it will last forever.

I decided to go with Kahtoola K-10 Hiking Crampon because it is adjustable and fits all of my boots. The spikes are long enough for hiking and backpacking and will penetrate packed trails as well as giving traction on ice.
