No sweat transferred to the down bag

I have been using this bag for years. I replaced a cheaper coated one when the coating pealed. This one does not use a coating. The barrier prevents insensitive perspiration from dampening the down. I bought the new one for my wife since every time we went camping, she used the bag. It's expensive, but it will last forever.

Pros:

Light weight. Prevents insensative perspiration from dampening the down.

Cons:

Expensive but worth it

Best Used for:

cold camping and an emergency bivy selter.

Rab Hooded VBL

Just camped in the ADKs at 3400' with temps in single digits. The VBL worked well. The attached stuff sack made packing up easier -- no need to search for the sack. Good addition for cold weather camping!
