used these on 50 mile through hike in Olympics Sep '17 and was very pleased. Boot strap / lace clip didn't pose any problems or need re-adjusting throughout day once we set out. Fabric seemed to breathe well. I agree with the other reviewer in that I wish they were 3-4" longer / higher (to reach knee joint) but that's my only negative and hence 4 stars. I didn't have any issue with them shuffling down the leg while trekking as mentioned elsewhere.
