Reviews & Ratings for Rab Wind Lite Jacket - Men's
— 5 reviews — Page 1
At 104 grams for a large size, this will always be in my pack. The RAB fit is " performance, meaning base layer and a light insulative layer if needed. As an active layer, you will only need a base layer. The fabric, pertex, is breathable and resists water better than a DRW finish and does very w...

Campsaver isn't the best when it comes to accurate product descriptions, so I tend to rely on the reviews - too much, this time. The only review previous to this one stated the product weight as 104g in size L. Maybe it was. Mine isn't. Product weight 140g in size L, color Maya. Also, I don't like...

This RAB Wind Lite jacket exceeded my expectations. The material is paper thin but super strong with a modest amount of stretch. The material is wind and water resistant Pertex fabric. The jacket has been stripped down to only the essentials. The mesh lined pockets also work as vents when they are zipped down. There is also a single button snap inside the chest so that you can run with the main zipper mostly open, the button snap keeps your jacket from opening like a parachute. I wish all jackets had this feature. The hood is non-adjustable but fits snugly around your face. You should size 1 size up, I have a 32" waist and 40" chest. The medium was way too restrictive at the arm holes and chest, unless you're super skinny get a large. I ordered both medium and large, the large fits perfectly. I'll give the medium away to someone smaller than me.
Pros:
Extremely light and packable
Cons:
Sizing is off, order 1 size up
Best Used for:
Running, hiking, walking
Would recommend: Yes

I received this Rab wind lite jacket from campsaver last month and wear it for two trkkekking trips.
It is very light weight, only around 160g, and very packable. The weight spec 336 g on CS is not correct.
The fabric is windproof and water repellent, really good.
The huge front pocket is made of mesh inside, very easy to use.
Pros:
Light, comfortable, Good pocket and hood
Cons:
May not durable
Best Used for:
HIKING
Would recommend: Yes

Despite the tight armpits it fits fine everywhere else. The fabric is very flimsy feeling and I wouldn't wear it as anything else besides an emergency outer layer. With that purpose in mind, I will keep it in my pack. It essentially weighs nothing and it's nice to always have a jacket handy for emergencies.
Pros:
Light weight
Cons:
Bad fit
Best Used for:
emergency use
Would recommend: No
