I am on my third pair of Rapaces. The latest are the new model. Love the low weight and fantastic grip on rock but like other reviewers find they are totally not waterproof. Odd and dangerous for a crampon compatible mountaineering boot. I was hoping the new material would be waterproof as claimed.

New (2015) style worn once after rain in wet grass for break in - socks soaked after 30 minutes. Not waterproof at all. Comfy, supportive, narrow, tready, all good. Water, come on in! Also, Campsaver displays old, more leather version in default website photos ships new, softer, and apparently anti-waterproof version. Buyer bewear...
