WOW IS THIS THING LITE

by KarlosJ83, Gear Expert from UT, United States Written on September 10, 2011
I have the vargo ti stove and as far a canister stoves go they are about the same. Except for almost a whole OZ. I had to get it just couse it was lighter than my Vargo.
Most Helpful Positive Review Right tool for the right job
i was trying to save weight while still being able to boil water for meals and for hot drinks. This stove fit the bill perfectly. Fits in my cook pot and weighs nothing. Heats fast and the flame can be lowered for simmering. Stable and compact. Can't go wrong with Snowpeak.

nice little stove

by rhy, Verified Owner from CA, United States Written on September 29, 2016
This is actually the second one I've bought. The first one I purchased maybe 5 or 6 years ago and has gotten a lot of use. It was just time to replace.

I bring this stove for basic water boiling and simmering. I use a different stove if I want to fry fish with a skillet, or use a windscreen, or snow camp.

Nice light basic canister stove.

Compact stove with excellent flame control

by Byungdae M., from NJ, United States Written on July 23, 2015
The LiteMax stove sets up in seconds...and is as simple as your stove at home to operate (with the added task of ignition). Like most stoves in the back-country...the need to screen the flame from the wind is important...but this problem is easily solved by building a windscreen from available materials or bringing your own from home.

Excellent Little Stove

by Stoney P, Written on May 5, 2014
Was lusting after the LiteMax for a couple of years. It is a superb little stove that is small, lightweight and powerful. It fits readily into my Snow Peak .7 liter pot with a canister, and is excellent at simmering in addition to boiling water, so one can do some real cooking on it. Because it sits on top of the canister, an enclosing wind screen should not be used, but this has not been an issue

Great lightweight backpacking stove

by Bryan, Written on April 3, 2014
I received this stove as a gift for Father's Day. Got to take it out for a spin two weeks ago. It is super small, and super lightweight. It easily fits into my pot for storage. The temperature control works well and the arms stretch out well enough to hold my pot.

The only complaint I have (and it's a minor one) is that if you adjust your pot when cooking it can make the arms move and potenti
