I've only used this rope in a couple of canyons so far and have loved it. It's so high and packs down small. You can go for long hauls and not worry about all the additional weight. The only warning about this rope is that it does rappel fast because of it's this diameter but we absolutely loved it.
Pros:
packs small
Light
supple
Cons:
expensive price
Best Used for:
canyoneering
rappelling
Would recommend: Yes

I've used many different ropes over nearly 400 canyon trips now, and the Sterling Canyon Lux is my "go to" rope for all my serious canyon adventures. It's light, strong, packs well (subtle), and has enough stretch to greatly reduce shock loading on marginal anchors. It is however more of an "expert's" rope, since it's only 8mm dia and the sheath is not super thick. Beginners with sloppy rappel technique can chew through its sheath much faster than thicker canyon ropes with heavy sheaths. It's still very safe, as the Spectra/Poly core is very cut resistant, much more so than nylon or polyester.
Pros:
Light
strong
Packs down well
Cons:
Expensive
Best Used for:
rappelling
Would recommend: Yes
