Bruce G's Review of Therm-a-Rest NeoAir XLite Sleeping Pad - Past Season
I bought the Thermarest NeoAir XLite pad in size regular wide. With an R value of 4+, length of 72", width of 25" and 2.5" thickness the pad still weighs only 16 ozs. It's the right combination of comfort and weight for my 3-4 season backpacking trips. It pairs well with my down and synthetic quilts. I use down quilts (lighter weight) when rain is not expected and synthetic fill (slightly heavier) when rain is possible or likely (think the AT). For cold weather trips I opt for my warmer Thermarest NeoAir XTherm which at an R value of 6.9 is slightly heavier (1.3 lbs) and a little more expensive.
Pros:
reasonable price
Lite weight
Warm and comfortable
Cons:
NONE
Best Used for:
backpacking - mild to cold weather
Would Recommend:
Yes
