Most Helpful Positive Review The best
Been using it for the last six months, about 25-27 nights, the most comfortable sleep i've gotten camping, And i'm 54 years old!
Most Helpful Negative Review Too noisy for me and campmates
Many say too noisy. Some say not too bad. I had to see for myself...way too noisy, especially since I move a lot when sleeping. Yes, it is light and comfortable. But the Nemo Tensor insulated is all that AND quiet, for 2.5-3 oz. more. That's the one I kept. Quality sleep is important to me in the ba...

Great piece of gear

by Micheal, Verified Owner from DE, United States Written on July 17, 2023
This pad is excellent. Easily inflates using 6-8 full bagfuls with the provided inflation bag. I am 6'1 & 210lbs and it fits and supports me perfectly, super comfortable & provides great insulation from the ground. Feather light. Packs small. I don't find it to be noisy at all. For perspective, I last went backpacking in the early 80's & used a thermarest self-inflating pad that would only be considered for car camping today. IMO, alot of the nitpicking on high end items like this that you see on Youtube & read here is crying about nothing. Be stoked that you have such awesome gear! I will always use this pad with a ground cover & always choose my sites carefully, just good practice - I don't want to sleep on a jagged rock any more than I want my expensive pad grinding on one.

EXLLENT PAD

by mootuck, Verified Owner from DE, United States Written on April 18, 2023
The NeoAir XLite is actually the third or fourth inflatable pad that I’ve tested from Therm-a-Rest, and it feels much more durable than some of their previous models. The fabric feels sturdy under your hands, and not like you’ll to poke a hole by looking at it the wrong way. As with all inflatable pads, take care to always use a ground cloth and avoid sharp objects. Or as I like to call it, employing common sense when using something that’s essentially an air bag wrapped in butterfly wings.

Lightweight comfort

by Rob, from NY, United States Written on April 14, 2023
This sleeping pad is so compact that is was delivered to my mailbox. It has an easy method of inflation, and once inflated is comfortable to sleep upon. Deflates in no time. Then fits into a small stuff sac. Will be perfect for adding comfort while sleeping in a tent.
Best Used for:
  • Camping

Great ground pad very comfortable!

by ser, Verified Owner from DE, United States Written on February 7, 2023
started hiking with the the therm-a-rest z-lite. it was ok. worked for my purposes, but was bulky. i try to keep things as light as possible and then switched to an inflatable. i had the big agnes axl air ultralight. it was a great pad. you wouldn't be reading this review if it still worked. it developed delamination that caused it to leak out through the fabric. started after it was about 1.5 years old. many leaks. a dozen at least.

Width, Warmth & Weight

by Bruce G, Verified Owner from TX, United States Written on February 3, 2023
I bought the Thermarest NeoAir XLite pad in size regular wide. With an R value of 4+, length of 72", width of 25" and 2.5" thickness the pad still weighs only 16 ozs. It's the right combination of comfort and weight for my 3-4 season backpacking trips. It pairs well with my down and synthetic quilts. I use down quilts (lighter weight) when rain is not expected and synthetic fill (slightly heavier) when rain is possible or likely (think the AT). For cold weather trips I opt for my warmer Thermarest NeoAir XTherm which at an R value of 6.9 is slightly heavier (1.3 lbs) and a little more expensive.
Pros:
  • reasonable price
  • Lite weight
  • Warm and comfortable
Cons:
  • NONE
Best Used for:
  • backpacking - mild to cold weather

lightweight pad. good for side sleepers

by ser, Verified Owner from DE, United States Written on November 26, 2022
Upgraded to this pad from my old thermarest rectangular neo air to lighten up my pack, couldn't be happier. I've used it for over a year now, and it's amazing. The updated valve is awesome and makes inflating a deflating really easy compared to old valve as you don't have to worry about air escaping. Crazy high R value for such a light bag and kept me (almost too) warm with a 20degree bag in 30s temps in Olympics

Lightweight and Good R Value

by Mike, Verified Owner from UT, United States Written on November 6, 2022
I saw a lot of comments about the noise this pad makes. I didn't fine it to be loud at all. Also the included pump sack worked easily, just found it to be hard to unsnap the pump sack cap. It's made of hard plastic, but putting some chapstick around it and/or pushing the cap out from inside of the sack worked for me.
Pros:
  • Ultra light weight
Cons:
  • pump sack needs to be improved
Best Used for:
  • Backpacking

Lightweight, warm, and rolls down

by ser, Verified Owner from DE, United States Written on October 19, 2022
Lightweight, warm, and rolls down small. This is a perfect sleeping pad. Not the absolute lightest available, but the tiny increase in weight is worth the extra R value.Very light weight, warm, easy to blow up and durable. This is a great pad for late season hunts deep in the Colorado Rockies.

It's worth the price, hands down

by Tony, Verified Owner from CT, United States Written on July 15, 2022
Yes it is expensive, but for a 3-season sleeping pad at this weight, it's definitely worth it. It's warm, comfy and light, nothing to complain about. BTW if you're love to put your hands on the side of your body, just like I am, you'll need the extra wide version.
Pros:
  • Light & comfortable
Cons:
  • Expensive
Best Used for:
  • Backpacking

light and easy to use

by dlw5065, from PA, United States Written on January 11, 2022
It is narrower than my previous pad but more comfortable for sure. It is lightweight and should be good for thru hiking. The new valve design is much better than my old thermarest pad and I definitely approve. It makes inflating and deflating much easier!
Pros:
  • lightweigh, quality design and workmanship
Cons:
  • narrow
