The xlite has always been a favorite among thru-hikers and lightweight backpackers alike. Excellent lightweight pad by Thermarest. Been a Thermarest user all my life, and while nothing beats the comfort of the original Basecamp model, I think that one weighed around 2lbs! At 12oz for the regular here, and its tiny packing size, you can't complain. Yes, you have to care for it more, but throw in a patch kit or Tenacious tape, and you are good to go for a lightweight ... Read more

Love this pad. It’s warmer than any pad I’ve owned...and very comfortable. Takes up a small space in my pack. Thankfully I got it on sale. Stuck at home for now but looking forward to going backpacking with it soon.

This sleeping pad is great! I purchased the regular size, and it is super lightweight, rolls up to take up no more room than a quart sized water bottle, the insulation is definitely noticeable (helps keeps you warm), and it is very comfortable. Definitely a worthwhile investment for backpacking.
Very comfortable and kept warm. However, my surrounding tenting mates were not happy with the crinkling sound every time I turned. This is definitely one of the down sides to this product. It is very light weight and easy to fold into a small volume size when deflated.
