I read good things about this shoe so I tried them. I usually run in altra Olympus or hoka Clifton for there hi stack size. I prefer the altra’s because of their width. So to cut to the chase I thought they ran a little small but other than that they fit great right out the box. I have only done about 30 miles on them all trails and I’ve had no problems. Good traction and pretty comfortable. This comes from a guy whose 5’10 225 with bad knees. It might become my new go to shoe for trails
Pros:
Stack height
Cons:
None
Best Used for:
trails
Would recommend: Yes

The Ultraventure is my absolute favorite go to trail shoe. I've used the shoe for 20mile events up to 105k events with another 100k in a couple of weeks.
This model has the cushion that keeps you going for hours and hours and the fit is amazing, if it suits your foot of course.
The heel and midfoot have a nice hold and the space in the forefoot allows your foot to swell when you're hitting those later hours and miles.
They aren't the best technical shoes for bombing downhill, but for situations where your power hiking for a long time, the trade off is well worth it.
If you have a broader foot, not necessarily flat wide foot, these are well worth a try.
Pros:
comfort, cushion, space
Cons:
nothing
Best Used for:
ultras, trail running, hiking
Would recommend: Yes
