Michael H.'s Review of Trangia 27-7 Ultralight Hard Anodized Outdoor Stove

I had the Trangia Mini for backpacking, purchased 27 for bike tour. The 27 is much better, boils faster, more even heating, no flare ups. The Mini is smaller, yes, but when you add a Titanium cup to your kit the space needed is about the same. The 27-7 nests two small pots inside of each other, so one can be used for your coffee cup. The wind shield is better on the 27-7 and boils faster, less fuel needed. The mini you need to make a wind screen and self designed wind screens are fussy and can flare up around the pot. Overall the Mini is fussy, but ok to boil some water. The 27-7 is much better for two people, or even one on a bike trip. Stable, windproof, faster boil, no flare ups, fuel available from every hardware store, gas station, car parts stores, anywhere in the country when you can’t find the canisters for gas stoves. Simple and easy.
