Got a Trangia 25 stove? Get this kettle!

by Chris Hutchinson, Verified Owner from CO, United States Written on June 27, 2020
This kettle is great - nestles down inside the stove when packed and holds your stove and handle. I recommend using a ziploc-type freezer bag to protect the inside of your kettle from scratches and fuel.
Because the kettle sits down close to the burner and inside the windscreen, the heat surrounds the kettle and heats water quickly. I usually can get 2-3 good kettlefulls boiling off one fueling of the burner.
If you manage to melt the knob on the top of the kettle by heating it over an open fire, head down to your local hardware store and find a small metal drawer pull to replace it. Check the package before you go home - unless the included bolt has break-away sections, it will be too long to work. Get a shorter bolt, use a dab of thread-locker or glue on the threads, and you'll all set!

A simple sturdy kettle

by Nathan M., Verified Owner from CO, United States Written on May 31, 2016
Trangia makes solid, simple camp cookware. There's nothing overly sexy about it--it's not titanium or collapsible silicone. It is a simple, well-built kettle that suits Trangia's cook system, of course, but works fine with pretty much any other method as well. You get the sense with Trangia of a company that has made good quality reliable stuff for many years and has enough sense not to flirt with passing fashion.

Trangia 1.4 Kettle

by Bob R., Verified Owner from CO, United States Written on February 18, 2016
Trangia makes top notch stuff and with Campsaver pricing, they are a bargain. Fit and finish is topnotch. The handle on this is different than the two smaller kettles being only a flat piece of metal. The smaller ones have a nicer and cooler to the touch, coated(insulated) handle. I have all three sizes and bought this foe my car camping kit.

Lovely little pot.

Very satisfying to make a nice hot cup for two in this well made pot.
Just the right size and weight.
Some how seems so much better than just using a pan, don't know why just seems to add personality and a touch of home.

Great Kettle for boiling water

by Motoboy, from NV, United States Written on December 12, 2013
This kettle works well to boil water over my Trangia alcohol stove with a wind screen I can boil water in 5 to 6 min with a full kettle. My bowl, spork, spices and towel will fit inside the kettle. I wish it would whistle when the water boils. That is my only complaint and it is not a deterrent to the performance only my preference.

Great for family backpacking

by camper mom, from NS, Canada Written on September 10, 2011
This is a wonderful little kettle for our family of tea and coffee drinkers. The lid fits securely enough to keep out embers, twigs and similar "additions", so that we can set the kettle in the embers and get it boiling in two minutes flat. It holds just the right amount for a 500 ml coffee mug and a cup of hot chocolate. The plastic coating on the handle burned off the first night, but that's not

Great Camping Kettle

by ekibike, Written on September 10, 2011
The lid is loose enough, so that when you are emptying the kettle it releases enough steam to burn you if you are not careful. Otherwise it is perfect for cooking up freeze-dried meals. Lightweight, quick boil and awesome
