I have heard of trangias for years but always used a bulky propane stove. I have seen the light. This stove is lightweight ,reliable and powerful enough for my purposes. I can't wait to go use it in the wild.

Most Helpful Negative Review They don't make them like they used to.
Big fan of the Trangia system, but this is the second burner for my Mini Trangia (28)that has a hairline crack in the flange or rim. It still works fine, but you can't store fuel in the burner without it leaking, and being able to do this is the biggest advantage of a Trangia over the soda can type ...

The Burner

This... unit is just the thing that any camper would need to take on a day hike or over night camping...it heat and simmer food. This is my second unit I use when there is more camper for dinner.

Trangia Spirit Burner

I love the simplicity of this stove and wish I had discovered it sooner! I introduced it to may dad, an avid camper and no frills kind of guy and he was ready to buy one for himself. The one thing to be careful of is that the flame is hard to see and this can present a hazard. I quick wave of the hand above the stove will tell you if the flame is lit. Fuel is easy to find and is cheap.

Great little burner.

Very well made and compact. It's great for camping but I like to make my coffee outside on the picnic table to watch the birds at the feeders and the butterflies on the flowers. Yesterday a bear came down the hill and I had to abandon the coffee. He had eaten my sweet rolls but left the coffee. I suppose he doesn't take it black. I'll be sure to have cream and plenty of sugar and napkins for him tomorrow. Funny, he is a black bear so you would expect him to take it black. Maybe it was the alcohol he didn't like the smell of.You know bears are kind of pickey.

Perfect!

I purchased this stove for another cook kit. I recently acquired a Meta 50 cook kit and wanted to add an alcohol option to it. This burner works fantastically and unlike the larger military Trangia burner the simmer ring offers more options to the Meta 50. Simple, bulletproof and time tested couldn't ask for more.
