i purchased these back in 2011 when they earned Backpacker editors choice award. While not the most durable shoe definitely most comfortable and lightweight. Waterproof is good. I have a low volume high arch foot and this fit well.

I am an avid regular hiker in the rugged Rocky Mountains, and I have been looking for a new hiker after wearing out my last pair of another brand which lasted 11 years. I truly wanted the TrekSta to be a good fit, but it just does not work for me. First, I am of average, athletic build with average feet and stride. I was looking for a vegan boot, and though the company doesn't advertise it as a ve

I was wrong. The TrekSta boots are INCREDIBLE. I hike ALOT, and my feet were always slammed at the end of a trek, until I got a pair of these boots. These boots have made me TrekStas latest fan. Am preparing for a 20 mile day In April and here in NE that can mean anything from snow to ice and mud. These will no doubt be the boots I'll wear. Had for a month now and could not be happier with fit and comfort. Try these boots, you will have VERY happy feet!

Used these new boots right out of the box for winter hiking. Trail was snow covered ice and snow covered rocks. Great traction on rocks, even when the soles were wet, and on the ice. My jeans were soaked at the hem, my feet were completely dry! Very comfortable, no blisters or rubs, even without breaking them in. Great pair of boots. Am planning to use these on a 26 mile hike on the Inca Trail to
