I'm using these shoes for backpacking and the first day I got them I hiked 8 miles no pack and they felt like a dream. 2nd day 5mi. with pack, followed by 10,2,and 10 without pack. Since then I have done 10,10,4, and 10 with pack. Vasque shoes and boots are one of the only brands I have been able to take right out of the box and take off hiking big miles right away. No breaking-in necessary. Last
